Will there be a season 3 of Euphoria? ›

While Euphoria was renewed for a third season in February 2022, new episodes won't be released until at least 2025. Filming was originally slated to begin in the first half of 2024, but according to HBO, production will resume in January 2025.

Viewers attempting to jump into this show in 2022, starting with the Season 1 pilot, may never even make it to the gems that exist in the latest collection of episodes. As such, despite Season 1's admitted quality, it might be best to just skip it. It might be best to just dive right in with Season 2.

It features lots of boundary-pushing content related to sex, drugs, and sexual violence. Girls are violated in many ways, including being leered at, groped, and touched without their permission.

Definitely not. This show is for a very mature audience so the best rule of thumb for parents is to hold off on Euphoria until they are 17 or 18, or until you're absolutely sure they can handle it.

It's very well-made and well-constructed, with great performances, fantastic camerawork, and a truly lived-in environment, and that alone has me wishing to talk highly about it, but I would absolutely stress caution before viewing. Euphoria, in the end, has a great first season.

In a February interview with GQ, "Euphoria" star Colman Domingo said Season 3 was taking so long because Levinson is "a person who writes and rewrites and writes and rewrites again, because I think he's wrestling with what's important." Levinson premiered a different show, "The Idol," on HBO last year.

He told Variety that rejoining the show “would be dope,” but noted: “I don't really talk to them anymore.” Heartbreakingly, Angus Cloud who played Fezco died from an accidental drug overdose in July 2023, aged just 25, meaning his character won't appear in season three.

Filming on the Sam Levinson-created drama's third season is slated to begin in January 2025 — just about three years after the premiere of season two. HBO says all of the principal cast, inlcuding Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi and Hunter Schafer, is set to return.
